I’ve worked at Dayton Elementary for seven years, beginning as a paraprofessional in 2014/2015. In 2017, I earned a Master’s in Elementary Education. My favorite part about teaching at Dayton Elementary is our four day instructional week, because teachers always work more than the instructional days! This schedule allows me to visit other schools to collaborate with educators teaching the same grades and subjects I am. It also allows me to return to college for professional development. Teaching children keeps me committed to being a lifelong learner, hence my return to college. Watching and helping children experience life and learn new skills is a treasure. We must always be willing to learn from them as well. They are our most influential teachers!
