Feed Summer Smiles with SUN Programs! Summer fun starts with healthy food! SUN Programs: USDA’s Summer Nutrition Programs for Kids – work together to ensure your children get nutrition they need all summer long. With SUN Bucks for groceries and free SUN Meals, we’ve got kids covered.

Sun Bucks is a program that gives families with eligible children an EBT card to purchase food when schools are closed during summer vacation. Your household may be eligible if your child is certified to receive free or reduced-priced school meals using a free and reduced-price meal / Sun Bucks application or through direct certification. Sun Meals: Children 18 and under can enjoy meals together at eligible meal sites. SUN Meals are free and help kids get nutritious meals all summer long.

Sun Meals To-Go: In some rural areas, SUN Meals can be picked up or delivered! Meals To-Go are free for children 18 and under and can be enjoyed at home. To find the nearest site, click here or text ‘Summer Meals’ to 914-342-7744.

Sun Bucks: With Sun Bucks, get $120 per eligible school-aged child to buy your family’s favorite food at the grocery store during summer break. Families with children who qualify for free or reduced meals through NSLP (National School Lunch Program) may receive $120 on a preloaded card per eligible child to spend on groceries over the summer.
