My name is Amy Baier. I am teaching the 4/5 combination class at Dayton this year; however, I have taught every grade from Preschool to Adult. I have been teaching for 20 years. I have taught at two different one-room schools and three different two-room schools. I have also taught at Head Start and Adult Life Skills at Montana State Prison. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since the 3rd grade. My teacher that year had me help a boy that did not speak or read English. I knew then that I wanted to be a teacher. After graduating from high school, I went to college at MSU-Northern and earned a BS in Elementary Education. After teaching for several years I went back to college through Lesley University and earned a MA in Literacy. The last two years I have spent earning an AAS in Early Childhood Education which I also earned a PK-3 endorsement through the State of Montana.

Since returning to Dayton School, I have realized why I love it here so much! The families here are amazing to work with. There is so much support for the school from the families, the PTO, the School Board and the Administration.
